J. K. Rowling


J. K. Rowling is a British author best known as the creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series, the idea for which was conceived on a train trip from Manchester to London in 1990. She sold more than 400 million copies.

The 2008 Sunday Times rich list estimated Rowling's fortune at £560 million ($798 million).

In March 2011, Warner Bros. announced plans to build a tourist attraction in the United Kingdom to showcase the Harry Potter film series. Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent wizard Harry Potter and his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's quest to overcome the evil dark wizard Lord Voldemort, whose aim is to subjugate non-magical people, conquer the wizarding world, and destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry Potter.

J K Rowling was born on July the 31 1965 chipping Sudbury; Gloucestershire England Rowling writing career started at the age of six when she wrote a story called Rabbit. J.K. Rowling's favorite subjects in school were English and languages. She went to Exeter university.

We like her books because they are daring, mysterious and cool.
